Weight Loss Update December 2014

Merry Christmas here is a 1 year comparison My weight loss update:  lost 54 pounds so far and starting to lift some weights. It has been a fantastic journey watching my body go through the changes.  I get my bad eating and lazy day, but it does come down to keeping up with healthy eating habits and scheduling the workouts!!!! Trust in the process and commit to it.  It  will take some time but if you want to change then you have to keep at it!!!

Weight Loss Update November 2014

I am so proud of myself to officially be off blood pressure medicines!!! I was diagnosis with hypertension at 19 years old.  When I was pregnant I had pregnancy hypertension and gestational diabetes.  6 months postpartum I decided to make a serious lifestyle change to eat clean and exercise.  I wanted to stop taking medicine and never get diabetes again!!! I am so glad I made this change.  I lost 50 pounds and my doctor told me I can stop taking my medicine!!! It is possible to be happy and healthy.  Food is not the enemy it is your friend and can help you not against you!!! November 23 completed 21 day fix round 3 Weight 132 Chest 33 Arm  11.5 left /11.5 right Waist 29.5 Hips 32.5 Legs 18 left 18 right  Wrist: 6 Forearm: 9 This is the lowest weight I have ever gone!!!  I'm so proud of this accomplishment however I am not use to this.  I feel like I am not eating enough, feeling more weak and stressed out.  Could be the new job too...

P90x3 Results

I tried p90x 3 looking for more weight training after doing 21 day fix. I lost so much weight too fast.  I notice my skin was sagging which did not look nice.  I w anted to look lean. p90x3 workouts are only 30 minutes, 6 days a week for 90 days. Tony Horton is the trainer behind this program.  He includes a variety of intense routi nes for resistance, cross- training, c ardio, core, flexibility and balance. I have never tried p90x, but I have heard great things about the program, however I did not want to s pend an hour o f my day working out .  I am a busy mom, I don't have time for that.  Tony Horton is fun to listen to be cause he is a comedian and makes working out interesting.  As far as eating, his nutritional guide involves intuitive eating, so its not structured like the 21 day fix.  I enjoyed the variety of this program because I did not feel bored.  Before p90x3 August 5 Weight 145 Chest 35 Arm  12.5 left /12.75 right Waist 30 Hips 35 Legs 19 left 19 righ

50 pounds loss so far!!!

Just wanted to share my 50 pound process pic.  4 years ago I divorced my ex-husband.  I wore this dress for my divorce party.  I was  about 188 pounds, ate a lot and ate out a lot.  I never work out and I was depress!!! This was the start of my weight loss journey.  Wanted to get more happier and healthier.  Today I tried the dress on and I'm swimming in it... I will make sure never to fit in this dress !!! I will make sure to always stay happy and healthy :) This picture of me on the left is me in 2011 about 170s.  I had no direction and ate everything, so even though I was going to the gym, I had a hard time losing weight. Weight Loss Update July - August 2014

I have attempted to do Insanity...  Here is a picture of me walking and baby wearing at Ala Moana Beach Park July 21 Weight 148 Chest 36 Arm 12 Waist 30 Hips 35 Legs 19 The picture on the left is after nursing school in 2008.  I use to eat fastfood everyday never workout and over ate.  The unhealthy me before I became a nurse.  The right is my current picture.  Im still working on my fitness to get to a healthy BMI.  My goal is not too be skinny but to be healthy and to stop taking my blood pressure Meds and prevent diabetes and cancer!!! I started to clean up my eating and working out.  It is not easy!!! I have bad days but I make the effort to squeeze in workout and watch what I eat now... Because I don't ever want to go back to the picture on the left!!!

Vegan Shakeology

Here is my review on Vegan Shakeology.  I was interested in a meal replacement because I was skipping meals, I felt sometimes I wasn't eating enough and I binge after I work nights.  I consulted with my doctor before I bought the product and they actually did not approve it for use for me since I was still breastfeeding and I never tried it before.  I waited before I made the educational decision to try it.  I did not go against medical advise.  As a nurse I reviewed the ingredients and decided to use it as a supplement to my nutrition and not as a replacement meal.  I ordered the Shakeology as a challenge pack with p90x3.  I later consulted with a nutritionist who was not against the use of supplemental nutrition as long as I continue to eat healthy, include calcium rich foods since I was still breastfeeding. Vegan chocolate is my favorite.  When I have a sweet tooth craving it helps me out.  It's perfect as it is no need to mix much in it.  I normally j

21 Day Fix Results

The 21 day fix is a great program for someone who wants to take the steps to losing weight.  You do not need to hire a trainer or go to the gym.  The 21 day fix program is everything you need in the comfort and privacy of your home!!!  The plan created by Autumn Calabrese includes a DVD for 7 day workouts that are 30 minutes long that you do for 21 days, a nutritional guide with containers of how much to eat.  You do need to buy dumb bells or a resistance bands.  If you do the workouts and follow the recommend foods by portioning out in the containers you will see results. I heard about this program in May.  I was 6 months postpartum and ready to get lose some weight, but as a new mom I didnt know how to start ( read more here ).  I was skeptical at first but I took a chance and I'm grateful I did because this program has changed my life.   It is great for someone like me that loves food and does not know how to start this weight loss journey!  My problem was over eat
