No Excuse Mom Workout Ewa Beach

March 2019, 8 months pregnant vs 12 weeks postpartum.  I’ve been maintaining my weight at 149 (4 pounds away from prepregnancy weight) with no dip in my breastmilk supply.  I have 340 ounces of milk for baby in the freezer.  The challenge will be if I can continue to pump when I go to work.  I hope I can pump 8+ ounces while I’m away from baby.  Back to work tomorrow #maternityleaveisover BTW My sister became the leader of the No Excuse Mom Ewa Beach.  If you in Oahu and want some free online support and workout check out :  Facebook group page

Baby N is born

Hello 2019

Aloha!  Wow it’s been a 6 months since my last blog post!  Sorry for lack of postings. I finally got married and we are expecting baby #2 in May.  I was training for the Honolulu Marathon which was in December and signed up for the Biastin Marathon Readiness Series which was in August, but after my second race, I started suffering from sciatica pain and had to stop running.  I’ve done some light weight training and cardio during my pregnancy, but I was not consistent, first trimester symptoms kicked my ass and my motivation has been all over the place!  So now that the new year is here, I need to find something to keep me and baby healthy.  I’m going to try Tone It Up !  I signed up for the Love Your Body Series and I’m getting acquainted with the iOS app, Toutube and Website.  I’ve been following Katrina and Karena on Instagram for a while so I decided let’s join the #tiuteam #tiupregnancy.  Wish me luck!

Team Beachbody review

Do you need to lose weight?  Have you tried Beachbody? Don’t worry this is not a sales pitch.  We all want to lose some weight and look better.  I know I wanted to lose some baby weight.  I started seeing people who used Beachbody on Facebook ads and got great results.  Is this real?  I was definitely intrigue and started following them. Now before I continue, this is not a hate post!  I still support Beachbody, but only as a previous customer who had success with their products.  I was a paying Team Beachbody member and Beachbody coach since 2014 and decided to stop doing this about 2017.  I originally signed up as a coach after I lost 50 pounds postpartum doing 21 day fix.  I was so excited with my results I wanted to share it with the world!  Because of my success my coach recommend for me to become a coach so that I can benefit in the sales of my success! I joined Beachbody coaching and started to promote their products on...

Weight loss update

7 year comparison.  Left is December 2010 and right is this past Mother’s Day.  The difference between these pictures is 50 pounds, happy and healthy!  I was 188 pounds wearing size 12, night shift nurse with not much exercise, no care on nutrition and in a dark place in my life.  Now I am 138 pounds wearing size 4, charge nurse for a outpatient clinic, mother to a 4 year old, loves to run, loves food, practices carb cycle intuitively!  My life is crazy stressful with work and our upcoming wedding, but I’m bless with everything I have in life.  At one point in time I was obsess with weight loss but now l have changed my mind set to focus on my happiness!  Let’s face it the goal shouldn’t be skinny it’s to be happy and healthy always!!! #behappy #bodypositivity

Just eat real food

What is your why? I remember that was the question that was asked of me when I first started this health journey. My answer was to take care of me so I can take care of my family and patients. I need to set a good example by taking care of me first. Here is the video I created. It’s so raw and of course not edited. The reason I wanted to share this video was to remind myself of my journey and willingness to help others in this journey too.  I may not be a “coach” but I am a nurse so by nature I care for others and want to help them get better.  I’ve seen sick people when I used to work nights in the hospital and now in the clinic setting I see healthier people and I can make an impact in their preventative care to help optimize their health.  I’ve come to realize over the years that it’s not about just working out, but its about food!  It truly starts with food and understanding how food fuels your body and it makes a difference on the quality of foods you...
